In the evening we arrived at Arches NP. Unfortunately we had to find out that an event called “Jeep Safari Week” was about to take place, so every single campground in the area seemed to be totally crowded. However, after searching for an empty spot for more than one hour we found the probably smallest campsite in Utah (8 camp sites), located at the back of a small mountain and providing a breathtaking view over Canyon Lands NP. Behind the camp sites, the country drops several hundred feets and only in the very distance a faint glance of a small city was visible.
